Thrift Stores and Upcoming Review

Thrift Stores - are they worth it? It depends. I don't care for the thrift stores in my small town, but when I head to the "city" (tongue in cheek - it's about 50,000 people) I try to stop by two different ones in town.

For weeks, no I think it was months, I looked for a round or oval  tray for my coffee table. I looked at several stores that should have had one (in my mind anyway).

Now, I must admit, I did have a price in mind that I was willing to pay. I think I started at $15 and went up to $25 after a few months. Why did I want round or oval? I don't know! I think it was in one of my rare decorating phases where I was tired of having everything square or rectangular in my living room. I finally gave up searching for the tray. I used a boring old rectangular tray and called it good.

Several months later I happened to be browsing at one of my favorite thrift stores (clean, nicer items, not crowded, good prices) and what should I happen to find??? EXACTLY what I wanted! Unique, oval, curvy lines, cheap. It was perfect! I have given up on garage sales, but I haven't given up on thrift stores yet.

Check out the other goodies I picked up this week:

Regular Price $24.99, Thrift Store Price: $1.00

My kids drew pictures on the pots. The tray was $4.00. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
As much as I still going to thrift stores, they do NOT always have what I want.

I'm excited to say that CSN Stores has graciously given me the chance to review a product from one of their many websites. I have no idea what I'm going to order. Seriously there are so many items to choose from! The list of "I wants" is long. The list of "I needs" is very short so I'll probably start there!!!

I'm looking forward to posting my review in the next few weeks. Stay tuned...
