Top 3 Priorities

What are your top 3 priorities today?

  • 8:15 AM Pick up Azure Standard order.
  • 10:15 AM leave for orthodontist appointments.
  • 1:00 PM Open house at the middle school for the kids.
  • 3:30 PM Cross Country Practice for my son
  • 4:30 PM Pick up my son and drop off my daughter for volleyball.
  • 7:00 PM Pick up my daughter from volleyball
During our scheduled day I need to do at least two loads of laundry, figure out meals and buy some food at the store. I also need to run to the church to pick up some items/drop off some things - my "clothe-a-kid" project has come to end this year and I need to wrap some things up (more on that later).

I could choose to freak out about this day, or I could choose to enjoy the last few days with my kids before school starts. While it will be a lot of running around, I can choose to put everything else aside for the day. The dust will still be here, the rest of Mt. Washmore will still be here, my garden produce will still be here, etc.

I am going to make the right choice today. I hope you will all hold me accountable!

  1. My first priority today is to be PATIENT with my kids!
  2. My second priority today is to get my list of important stuff done. The stuff on my list and not little things I easily get distracted by.
  3. My third priority today is to go for a walk. Doesn't have to be a long walk, just a "breathe and focus" type of a walk.
Oh yeah, one more priority - buy some toilet paper! Remember how I go on and on about the pantry principle - one should pay attention to the toilet paper supply!!!
