alice.com

I ordered from Alice a couple of weeks ago. I placed my order on a Tuesday and it arrived on Monday. The first time you place an order with Alice you can order as many items as you wish. After your first order, you must have at least 6 items to place an order. There are no shipping charges. I love that feature - but how are their prices?
  • I found washing soda! I bought a box for cleaning and to add a scoop to my laundry detergent (I'm not doing homemade laundry soap anymore, it didn't work for me and my hard water). Cheaper than the only store here in town that sells it.
  • They sell Country Save laundry detergent as well as Tide Free (cheaper than at Walmart). When I was replacing my homemade laundry detergent I found that Country Save was recommended right after Tide. At about half the price it might be worth a shot! Okay, as I was typing this I wanted to confirm that I was seeing the right price yesterday, but now I can only find it for HE machines. Not sure if you can use HE detergent in a regular washing machine.
  • Scott toilet paper is cheaper than at Walmart.
There is a cool shopping feature that I like. Towards the top of the screen you will see "Other ways to shop". If you click on "The Best Deals" you will see the items that have coupons automatically attached to them. Again, you need to watch the prices!

It looks like through March 11 they are having a sale on gift cards...15% off. Since I'm planning on placing another order I will order a Gift Card and then get a bit off when I check out. I think this would make a great gift for one of those hard to buy people (that enjoy shopping online!)

Cons: Dawn dishwashing soap is significantly higher than at Walmart and you must be careful about sizes and prices! They sell $1 toothpaste, but it's half the size I get at Walmart for $1. They have price/ounce listed so that's easy as well.

Shopping at Alice will save me money in the long run - the fewer times I step in a store, the less money I spend. Very very good for the BUDGET!!!

PS. When you click on Alice it might take a bit to load. If you click on it and order something, I will get a small percentage of the sale (well, after 12 months anyway!).

  1. Can you use the gift card on your own purchase down the road? That would mean another 15% savings, right? I haven't tried Alice.com yet but have been meaning to!
