Whole Wheat WHITE flour

We all have different views of what eating healthy means. For our family (among other things), I try to include whole grains as often as possible when I cook or bake.

For example, when I make pancakes, I use whole wheat flour and rolled oats. In my bread recipes however I've had a hard time NOT including white flour. Until I found whole wheat WHITE flour...

Some day I hope to get a grain mill, but in the meantime I have to be satisfied with what I can buy at the store. Apparently this flour is created by using white berries instead of red berries. I'm still experimenting with this, but as long as I include gluten in my dough and decrease the amount of flour I use a bit, it seems to be a hit with the family!

  3. I just discovered this whole wheat a few weeks ago. What a difference! My family hasn't even noticed that difference between all purpose and whole WHITE wheat flour! Sure, I can tell a slight difference in color and texture, but so far my family seems to enjoy my foods prepared with white whole wheat over foods prepared with half all purpose/whole wheat(red wheat).

  5. We don't use flour much. We don't do a lot of baking. Not my thing and hubby is to lazy. But my mother in law does cook a lot. I think she might use whole grain stuff 'cause my son has to have a lot of fiber and she makes a lot of our baked goods.
